The central philosophy
of PPD in its efforts to encourage
South-South Cooperation as a way
of assisting developing countries
to help achieve the ICPD Goals and
the MDGs has been that Capacity
development must remain the centerpiece
of all development cooperation and
the focus of all development activities.
Therefore, PPD has been active in
developing national capacity through
the organization and the conduct
of management and leadership training
program through it’s Partner
Institutions (PIs).
PIs
are 20 centers of excellence that
have bee identified by PPD from
its member countries. These PIs
work closely with each other and
with PPD towards the capacity development
of their countries in order to achieve
the goals of the ICPD and the MDGs.
