Consejo
Nacional de Población (Nacional
Council of Population)
The objective of population
policy is to help ensure
that Mexicans participate
fairly and equally in the
benefits of economic and
social development, through
the regularization of the
phenomena that affect the
population in terms of volume,
structure, dynamics and
spatial distribution.
The
population policy calls
for a comprehensive approach,
embedded in the priorities
of social development, that
promotes a change of mind
and strengthens the spirit
of foresight and planning
in families, as well as
the desire for equality
among its members, especially
on gender issues; which
promotes high parental valuation
of children and that spreads
and settles a demographic
culture on the impact of
population on the environment
and the sustainability of
development.
