South-Africa
joins PPD
Rabat, Morocco —
PPD
mandate for the promotion of Reproductive
Health, Population and Development
through South-South Cooperation is
gaining positive image and this has
been reinforced by the interest of
Developing Countries to join the alliance.
At the Annual Board Meeting 2007 of
PPD, South-Africa expressed its intention
to join the alliance which was approved
unanimously by all Board Members.
H.E. Mr. Zhang Weiqing, Chair, PPD
Board and Minister of NPFPC, Government
of the People’s Republic of
China and Mr. Harry S. Jooseery, Executive
Director of PPD welcomed South-Africa
and wished that South-Africa will
share its potentialities, experiences
and expertise with other member countries
in the context of South-South Cooperation.
Ethiopia, Ghana and
Philippine also intend to join the
alliance shortly.
