Country Coordinator (PCC) Meeting
at the Imperial Royale Hotel, Kampala,

Kampala, Uganda —
Partners
in Population and Development (PPD)
organized the PCC meeting in Collaboration
with, Population Secretariat (POPSEC)
Ministry of Finance, Planning and
Economic Development of Uganda on
23rd November 2008. The meeting was
opened by, Mr. Harry Jooseery, Executive
director of PPD and attended by the
international experts and PCCs from
PPD member country. The objective
of the meeting was to discuss issues
for strengthening South -South cooperation
through the creation of National Support
Structure in each PPD member countries.

The
participants appreciated and congratulated
innovative activities undertaken by
PPD. They agreed on certain conclusion
and recommendations with a hope that
PPD Secretariat and PCCs will work
together to develop and maintain national
support structure for promoting and
strengthening South-South Cooperation.
