National
Support Structure Workshop on South-South
Cooperation in Jordan
Amman, Jordan —
PPD
and the Ministry of Health Jordan
jointly organized a Workshop on National
Support Structure on South-South Cooperation
(NSSSSC) in Amman Jordan, 15June,2009.
H.E
Dr. Nayef AL- Fayes , Minister for
Ministry of Health presided over and
addressed the opening session .The
Executive Director, Mr. Harry Jooseery
addressed to the participants at the
Opening Session and made a presentation
on the concept, constitution and function
of the National Support Structure.
The event was also attended by Ms.
Mona Idris Assistant Representative
UNFPA Jordan and Dr. May Hani Al-Hadidi
Chairperson, Family Medicine Specialty,
Partners Country Coordinator (PCC)
for PPD.
The
day long workshop had some exiting
presentation: Reproductive and ICPD
Goals in Jordan by Dr. Eassa Al Massarweh
and Integrating RH with HIV/AIDS to
meet MDGS in Jordan by Dr. Bassam
Hejawi. This workshop had a special
session on the core issues: Constitution
of the National Task Force on South
Sotuh Cooperation, and Way forward.
At the end of the workshop, the concerned
authority firmly committed to constitute
the National Task Force.
