PPD
team met the new minister and Board
Member of Bangladesh
Dhaka, Bangladesh —
PPD
team lead by Executive Director Mr.
Harry Jooseery met with H.E. Prof.
Dr. Ruhal Haque, Minister of health
and Family Welfare (MOHFW) and new
Board Member of Bangladesh on 18 March
2009. The team briefed Honorable minister
about PPD mission and vision and the
new Strategic Business Plan and related
activities.

Beside
this, PPD team informed the minister
about the Memorandum of Understanding
with China: USD 500,000 to Bangladesh
from China bilateral assistance which
includes various equipments . PPD
is facilitating the processing that
requires commitment and approval from
Ministry of Finance to facilitate
handing over the material. Significantly,
the MOHFHW committed to organize a
Workshop on National Support Structure
on South-South Cooperation (NSSSSC)
on 11th May 2009 to facilitate a National
Task Force in Bangladesh.
