National South-South Workshop, held
at Alisa Hotel, Accra, Ghana on May
19, 2009. The event was attended by
Ms. Esther Yaa Apewokin Executive
Director of National Population Council(NPC)
Ghana, Ms. Marian Kpakpa, Director
NPC , Mr. markane Kene UNFPA representative
, Mr. Harry Jooseery, Executive Director
of PPD and Ms. Ester Cofie Partners
Country Coordinator (PCC) for PPD.
The
day long workshop had exiting session
on Reproductive health, ICPD and MDGs.
And had a special session on the core
issues of the work shop: Constitution
of the National support structure
in Ghana for the promotion of South-South
Cooperation. At the end of the workshop,
the concerned authority firmly committed
to constitute the National Task Force.
This workshop was jointly organized
by PPD and NPC.
