implemented a wide array of program
activities contributing substantially
to the improvement of reproductive
health, population and development
programs in the developing countries,
which led to the rapid expansion of
its constituencies. With the span
of 15 years time, the membership increased
from 10 to 25 countries bringing 57%
of the world population under its
coverage. Achievements and lessons
from one country can eliminate the
need of trial and error, thereby reducing
costs and enhancing efficiency. In
today’s world of globalization
and global economic downstream, such
collaborative efforts can unlock potential
resources. South-South exchange has
the potential to strengthen institutional
and organizational development and
build partnerships that will lead
to sustainable improvements in RH,
Family Planning, Population and Development
programs.
