Partners in Population and Development Africa Regional Office (PPD ARO), in conjunction with in partnership with Reproductive Health Uganda (RHU), conducted a four days’ AFP SMART advocacy diffusion workshop on 7-10th August 2018 at Jinja Nile Resort Hotel. Participants were selected from organizations doing advocacy for young people’s sexual reproductive health.    The workshop aimed to disseminate the AFP SMART Advocacy approach to partners, make partners understand AFP SMART and how to apply it in developing advocacy strategies. Participants graduated in developing advocacy strategies for their daily use as well as developing strategies relevant to their respective organizations current work plans. This was the second time that PPD ARO and RHU organized this training for Ugandan local and International CSOs with funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Advanced Family Planning (AFP) Project at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
