PPD offering one-year scholarships on diploma in “Population and Sustainable Development” from 23 September 2018 to end September 2019 at the Cairo Demographic Center (CDC), Cairo, Egypt


We are pleased to inform you that, PPD, with support from Cairo Demographic Center (CDC), Government of Egypt, is offering 5 one-year scholarships on diploma in “Population and Sustainable Development” from 23 September 2018 to end September 2019 at the Cairo Demographic Center (CDC), Cairo, Egypt. The scholarships are awarded to PPD member country professionals working in the field of Population and Development to be nominated by respective Partner Country Coordinators (PCC) of PPD.

The scholarship package provides waiver of the tuition fees, accommodation at the center’s hostel and a modest stipend for meals, utilities and other incidental expenses. The nominating authority/candidate will meet the cost of round trip air ticket and the health insurance.  Also, the candidate may need to carry some amount to subsidize his/her living cost.

The eligibility criteria for the scholarship are:

  • A university graduate in a related field of Population Studies or Statistic in Social Science
  • Government service holder with at least 2 years’ experience in population & development.
  • Fluent in English having good communication and understanding skills since English is the medium of the instruction of the course.

You are kindly requested to send us the nomination along with duly filled-in attached application form, Curriculum Vitae, recent passport size colored photograph, copies of relevant academic transcripts and professional credentials of the candidate before 15 May 2018.

The scholarship is open for both the male and female candidates. Kindly note that the prospective candidate is expected to complete the entire duration of the one-year scholarship.
