PPD Holds Its 40th Executive Committee Meeting in Bogotá, Colombia on 4th November 2025

Bogota, Colombia – 4 November 2025: Partners in Population and Development (PPD) successfully convened its 40th Executive Committee Meeting on 4th November 2025 at the Hilltown Hotel in Bogota, Colombia, on the sidelines of the 2025 International Conference on Family Planning (ICFP).

40thExCo-Prof-Joseph-Adelegan-041125It was the first Executive Committee Meeting organized by PPD’s new Executive Director, Professor Joseph Akinkugbe Adelegan, who assumed office in early October 2025. It was also the first formal gathering of the newly elected Executive Committee members, symbolizing a renewed phase of leadership, collaboration, and strategic direction for PPD.

The meeting was chaired by Professor Mohamed Douagi, Chair of the PPD Board from Tunisia. In his opening remarks, he emphasized the importance of unity among member countries, a renewed commitment to South-South Cooperation, and the need for innovative solutions to address reproductive health, family planning, and population development challenges across PPD’s membership.

The Vice-Chair expressed appreciation to the Executive Committee Members in a concluding vote of thanks, acknowledging their dedication to strengthening South-South Cooperation and promoting shared development priorities.

The event concluded with a group photograph, symbolizing unity, renewed leadership, and a shared commitment to accelerating progress in reproductive health, family planning, and population development across PPD member countries.
