PPD implemented a wide array of program activities contributing substantially to the improvement of reproductive health, population and development programs in the developing countries, which led to the rapid expansion of its constituencies. With the span of 25 years time, the membership increased from 10 to 27 countries bringing nearly 60% of the world population under its coverage. Achievements and lessons from one country can eliminate the need of trial and error, thereby reducing costs and enhancing efficiency. In today’s world of globalization and global economic downstream, such collaborative efforts can unlock potential resources. South-South exchange has the potential to strengthen institutional and organizational development and build partnerships that will lead to sustainable improvements in RH, Family Planning, Population and Development programs.
