Partners in Population and Development (PPD) is pleased to announce the successful participation of Professor Joseph Akinkugbe Adelegan, Executive Director of PPD, at the 4th China–Africa Conference on Population and Development, held in Nairobi, Kenya. The conference took place under the theme:
Harnessing Population Dynamics for Health and Sustainable Development: Strengthening China–Africa Cooperation.
Professor Adelegan delivered Opening Remarks, Welcome Remarks, and a Keynote Presentation, reflecting PPD’s global leadership in advancing South–South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) in population, reproductive health, demographic resilience, and sustainable development across Member States.

He emphasized the transformative demographic shifts shaping Africa and Asia, the importance of rights-based sexual and reproductive health (SRH), and the need for investment in universal health coverage and youth empowerment.
