Mali joined the Alliance in 1999.
- Conducted National Family Planning Campaign from 15 March to 4 April 2007
- Hosted PPDs Tenth Executive Committee Meeting from 25-27 April in 2005
- Mali also participated in the High Level Policy Symposiums in Tokyo in 2001, 2002 and 2003.
- In 2000, the PPD Secretariat conducted a needs assessment in Mali to identify possibilities for internet technology as a media for ARH education and information-sharing among youth.
- Mali participated in an Indonesian initiative to improve quality care in family planning programmes. It is also a member of the Francophone Network, which was established by Morocco 1997 in partnership with Tunisia, Mauritania and Niger, Senegal, Benin and Burkina Faso.
- Mali participated in the workshop “First African Days of South-South Collaboration on RH/FP and Population” held in Tunis in 1997.
