06 January 2026, Dhaka – The Executive Director of Partners in Population and Development (PPD) Prof. Joseph Akinkugbe Adelegan paid a courtesy visit to the High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh H.E. Mr. Pranay Kumar Verma. During the meeting, he presented an overview of PPD and acknowledged India’s long-standing partnership and support.
The Executive Director highlighted India’s key role in strengthening PPD, including leadership at the Board level, support for capacity building, scholarship initiatives, and project funding. He also expressed appreciation for India’s contribution to PPD’s growth and sustainability.
The High Commissioner warmly received the presentation and reaffirmed India’s continued support. He expressed strong commitment to PPD’s mission and interest in expanding cooperation, including future South-South collaboration and community health initiatives.
The discussion reflected shared priorities in population, health, and sustainable development, and reinforced both sides’ willingness to work closely in the years ahead.
