PPD, with the support of the Department of Social Development, Government of South Africa, is offering 5 scholarships of a One Year “Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Population and Policy Analysis (PPA)” for the professionals working in the field of Population and Development in PPD member countries.
The course will be conducted at the Northwest University, Mafikeng Campus, South Africa; bearing120 credit units in one year, commencing in early 2019. The aim of the course is to provide advanced understanding and practical skills for interlinking research, policy and programmes for middle and high level managers with planning responsibilities.
The scholarship will cover registration fees, tuition fees, accommodation on campus; a contribution of ZAR 15000 towards meals expenses and a contribution of ZAR 5000 for textbooks and stationery. Successful applicant should secure their own funding/ sponsorship for travel and other expense.
In order to be eligible for scholarship, the candidate must be
- Holding a graduate/bachelor degree preferably in Social Science
- Service holder of government with at least 2 years’ experience in population & development arena.
- Have good communication and understanding skills in English since English is the medium of the instruction of the course.
