At the recent  UN Secretary Generals (UNSG) Every Woman Every Child (EWEC) Stakeholder Consultation meeting (Co-hosted by PPD, with the Government of India)  in New Delhi, participants highlighted that the updated Global Strategy cannot be meaningful or effective without national leadership. By setting priorities, developing capacities at sub-national levels, engaging partnerships and aligning resources, national leadership can pave the way for implementing evidence-based strategies in line with a country’s unique situation.
