Partners in Population and Development (PPD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Michael Zusain as its new Head of Finance, effective 1 September 2026.

Mr. Zusain is a Professional Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana. He holds a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana.

He brings more than two decades of progressive experience in finance, accounting, grants management, compliance, procurement, internal controls, budget management, and donor reporting within international non governmental organisations. Over the course of his career, he has held finance and operational leadership roles with organisations including USAID, Tropenbos International, JSI Research and Training Institute, AFREhealth, Technoserve, and the International Water and Sanitation Centre.

Mr. Zusain has supported the financial management and implementation of major donor funded programmes, including initiatives supported by the European Union and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). His experience spans financial planning and reporting, audit readiness, project close out, grants compliance, cost monitoring, and the establishment of sound financial management systems across complex multi partner programmes.

In his new role, Mr. Zusain will support PPD’s commitment to prudent financial stewardship, strong internal controls, transparent reporting, and the effective management of resources in support of the organisation’s strategic priorities. His appointment further strengthens the capacity of the PPD Secretariat to serve its Member States and advance South South Cooperation in population, reproductive health, and sustainable development.
